Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant. The center of the zone.
After the Chornobyl disaster, a huge section of Ukraine was evacuated. This is called the Chornobyl Zone. You have to have special permission to enter the zone. There are armed guards to enforce this.
By the way, I spell it Chornobyl because that is the Ukrainian pronunciation. Chernobyl is a Russification of the name.

Not here to rain on your parade but...
1) it is known as the Exclusion Zone not Chornobyl Zone
2) this picture isn't even the Chernobylpower plant
3) Pripyat is the town and Chernobyl is the power plant
If this even IS Chernobyl it is more than likely the deconstruction of the sarcophagus and the reconstruction of the new sarcophagus that will cover where the old one stands. That's just based on what's under the crane. Now if we look at the crane they still seem to be a bit older. The cranes we see helping construct the new sarcophagus are newer and don't arch like these do
